Race car/Slot car tracks

A toy that is long lost from our childhoods, is the race car set. Who else had one? I remember many hours playing with one. Blowing my car off the track around the corners. The cars sparking underneath of the slot and smoking the tires. I can still smell that burning wheel smell. Also, I can hear the spring from the controller. Remember when they came out with the glow in the dark sets and the wall climbing sets? Did anyone else have one as a child?
