Judge unseals search warrant records, 2nd person of interest in the Las Vegas shooting has been identified as DOUGLAS HAIG. Haig's LinkedIn shows he had a "DOD Top Secret clearance", worked for top weapons manufacturers, and specialized in Military Ammunition.

I found this interesting, right around the time of the Vegas shootings the were going to introduce the bill:
H.R.367 - Hearing Protection Act of 2017
This bill amends the Internal Revenue Code to: (1) eliminate the $200 transfer tax on firearm silencers, and (2) treat any person who acquires or possesses a firearm silencer as meeting any registration or licensing requirements of the National Firearms Act with respect to such silencer. Any person who pays a transfer tax on a silencer after October 22, 2015, may receive a refund of such tax.

The bill amends the federal criminal code to preempt state or local laws that tax or regulate firearm silencers.
So basically you wouldn't have to get a stamp to get a silencer, but people said could you have imagined if the Vegas shooter would have had a silencer on then it would had made it harder to locate him. Conspiracy?

Double bad move. He's caving in on pressure to give away our rights slowly. Just wait until the next Democrat gets in. I don't own or care for bump stocks myself, but there is a very important point in not "giving an inch". There's a reason why the 2nd amendment is one of the most controversial, yet most important for a free nation, it allows the common true law and civility into the hands of the common people and to stay that way. It's also telling of things to come as we become slowly disarmed, adding on more socialism, tax, and confusing laws.

I feel the same way, it's just the point of it. Like you said, start slowly then next it will be another small thing here and there. I wish when the guys were writing the Constitution would had put in there:

P.S. This mean don't interfere with this and it means what it says!

They tried, and did for the 2nd amendment itself with the famous part "shall not be infringed", but opinions and interpretations screwed that up. The Constitution was written as a set basic rules of the land like the 10 commandments. We know though that amendments and changes could be made through politicians who were elected by the people, but people have changed and turned against those same values with many not knowing better. But when was the last time you remember politicians and politics being even somewhat clean? Be that as it may, it also means, we have changed and lost our values which made the U.S. a free, great self sufficient country. While we still hold some of those values today, we are slowly losing them, and it could be too late by the time we have a full communistic/socialistic country of mindless spoon fed citizens who won't care anyways.
