Time for nothing in life anymore.

I know that I chose the path in life and I am fine with that but it seems that I can't find the time for anything anymore. So many stupid side things that I can't find time to do. And those are just the boring things in life. I don't get any/much time for myself to unwind and feel free.

I have to roll over old IRA retirement accounts from past jobs. Well I have to find past statements and scan and email them to my fund manager to start the process. I know there is a bunch of paperwork from both places to be filled out after that.

Then there is mow lawn, fix whatever around the house and other everyday things. I feel so tired and run down by the time I get home and spend time with wife and son. I basically start falling asleep while playing with him. I struggle to find energy to do that let along do anything for myself.

I have noticed this myself for the last few months. I spend more and more time outside working on vehicles or the house. By the time I have time for myself I get about an hour per evening (if I am lucky) That is why I had to cancel my WoW, not time to even play it. By the time the dungeon pops I have to go.

I told you this would happen Nodle. Gaming goes out the window. Remember when you said it would never happen?

Man, when you decide to add to the brood it gets worse.

Listen to my week so far.

Monday, stay late at work so I can pick up one of my children from dance. Walk in the door at home, pick up with supper making so Gretchen can leave and teach a Music Academy class. Go through supper, let kids run a bit while I clean up. Gretchen came home and we started the bedtime routine, she left after we had the little ones mostly situated and went to go grocery shopping. I stayed home and worked on homework and read to the older ones. Lights out at 9:30. Gretchen returned around 10.

Tuesday, pick up Wren from dance at 4:45 after work. Take her home. Wait for Silje to get done with cross country, cool down, hydrate, etc...so I can run her to dance which starts at 6. Drop her off, and show up late for my Jiu Jitsu class. My class finished at 7:45 so I was late picking up Silje from her dance class. Run to McDonalds on the way home for a refreshing lemonade for my daughter. Get home around 8:15 and have a friend stop over to design some ramps for one of neighbor kids who is in a wheel chair. He left around 9:30. Once I got inside I had a late supper and finished getting the older children to bed.

Wednesday, went directly home after work. Gathered children and placed them into the car for church night. Aria is in a church choir that practices at 5:30 so we opt to have supper together at the church. We arrive to church around 5:25 so Aria has barely a few minutes to scarf down what she can before she heads to practice. The rest of us continue to dine until around 5:45 when Gretchen leaves to pick up Silje from cross country. She brings her to the church - I throw her food in the microwave and we eat in a different room because Wednesday night worship has started. Gretchen leaves after dropping off Silje to head to her Ballet class. I hang out until 7:00 pm because I lead the 4th-5th Grade Faith Friends class. Think of it as Sunday school on Wednesday. All of my kids are there in different classes. Wren and Kjell are in the Preschool / K class. Aria is in my class. Silje is in confirmation. Once we wrap we head home and attempt to get kids settled down because we are already past the ideal window for calming kids down. One by one we read to them and cuddle with them until they are all settled in. Gretchen was canning salsa and I came back downstairs at 11:00.

Today, Gretchen accompanies for Grand Cities Childrens choir, I have Jiu Jitsu. My two eldest daughters each have choir practice. I'll have the little kids with me during my Jiu Jitsu class - Gretchen will pick them up around 7:00 PM or so.

I have struggled with Anxiety for a number of years, and I think this non-stop lifestyle plays a big part.

I did not proofread the above sentences. I'm assuming they are poorly phrased. My life is chaotic - much like my rambling above.

I don't know how you do it man. I have a hard enough time with one child alone. Can't imagine another in the mix. I could see how you could get anxiety with everything going one. Plus just the responsibility of having to provide for them. My views have defiantly, changed. It's not about my future anymore but what is the best for them in the future. By the time she goes to bed at night I have about a half hour anymore to myself.

Wow that is one busy schedule and here I am sometimes struggling with 1 3 year old boy. I just want to get past the terrible 3s and 4 and 5s age....

I can't help think about this thread lately. This summer is just starting and I feel as if all I do is work, water, house maintenance, yard work then sleep. I try not to take my weekends for granted and try to get up early and get as much done as possible, but it never ends. I miss the days of "I'm bored what should I do ?".

You'll have much more free time once you're in the camps.  :D

Does anyone else feel that the older you get the faster time really speeds up? I always heard that but it does sure seem that way. Always seems like your striving for something more, only to strive for something after that as well.
