The housing market crisis in America

Like that is going to make a difference.

This is cool...not sure what changes will happen...will realtors set their own prices now??

I caught an interview regarding this...sounds like realtors will have to compete now and be able to set their own commissions. Should allow for people who sell their houses to keep more profit on the sale. Interesting dynamic. About time.

Locally it's 5%, but I think that's even high. The same house can be flipped as many times as possible with a 5-6% commission, which does get included in the selling price. which artificially inflates an already high price. And yes, technically the commission is on the seller, but they increase the price to pad it in, or as much as they can before negotiations.

As far as the article, who says a realtor won't go higher than 6% with how we've seem crazy house prices and demand?

We are at 5% commission here as well.

It's 6% where I am, or it was anyways. Split 3 and 3.
