No one wanting to work anymore

I don't know if this is fallout from getting people addicted to those high unemployment wages or what, but is anyone else seeing in their areas people not wanting to work anymore? As far as I know most of the high unemployment benefits are done now, but people are still refusing to go back to work. I don't know where they are getting their money from now? There have been articles in the newspapers and new stations around here talking about this same situation. It looks like it is more on a mass scale though. So what is going on?

Socialists doings will generate socialists outcomes, welcome to giving handouts until people are overly dependent and don't even know how to live. I once heard recently from a close realitive that was ok with giving a large part of their tax money to all these people so they don't rise up and cause harm. That's some good logic and common sense there....

I think there will be a little pause from when the payments end until more get back to work. The realization will set in eventually and it will be a gradual return to the workforce. As long as the handouts stop that is.

I feel like this is deeper, a rebellious act if you will by then new generation wanting to get a higher wage etc. In a way I understand them, but at the same time I think it will only make people more dependent on the government, and not by the work of their own hands.

Coworker stopped by a Burger King last night. Only had one worker working. The guy told him he had to cook and server and the wait time is 25 minutes. He said they they can't hire anyone and no one will work. He left and went somewhere else.

My Wife was telling me about her Sister's boy. Guess he just got hired at a gas station. His starting wage is $.25 cents less than his mom is making currently and she has been at her job for 9 years. Our McDonalds is minimum $15 an hour. They will be making more than their parents around here as a high school job.

And he likely had zero competition to get the job.

His first job and he didn't even want to take it. His mom forced him to. I think she said he get's an $800 a month bonus after 6 months as well and an incentive.

Well it's finally coming here. Went to go out of town and stopped by Subway on our way out. Sign on the door said closed due to lack of help. Later on that day ended up in a very small town to eat at their café. The sign said on the door "Please be patient with staff, low staff do to no one wanting to work".
