Hi-Point Carbine rifle

I believe she just got the default options. Excellent deal when a guy considers what alot of other guns are going for these days.

You know that's the way I feel about mine. I mean cant beat it, shes a fun gun. My new scope comes today for mine.

Scope is pretty sweet, I could finish it but I think my dad wants to help me. Also got my check rest. Really like it. You have got to take your time putting it on though to make sure it's stretched and lined up perfectly.

Went to the gun store today, wandering around and low and behold they had a bunch of magazines for the hi-point. I have been meaning to order some more but didn't want to go through the trouble and here they had some.

1. Converts your HP4595 or JCP so that it accepts 1911 mags instead of proprietary Hipoint mags.

Have you ever had a jam Nodle (with your 4595TS) ? Have you seen some magazines give issues over others? Have you tried hollow points?

None yet so far, I have shot about 200 rounds though it so far. I am just using the official magazines. No hollow points though it yet. The only problem that I had with a clip was when I slammed it in my sleeve got caught in the bottom and I had to pull the clip out and put it back out again.

The Mrs. brought home the Hi-Point. I see it has plenty of warning stickers and the charge thumb screw needs installation. Nifty looking unit.

Nice, I am interested on what you think when you shoot it. Some things I have done to mine:

Ordered a barrel shroud and new charging handle and bolt from here (the stock charging handle and bolt are junk):

https://www.downrangeproductsco.com/product-category/hi-point-carbine-accessories/

Also ordered a cheek pad from here:

Take your time and follow the instructions, you need to stretch it some. If you just take your time it will come out perfect, mine did. Also make sure to clean the surface well first. Just don't slap it on, it wont fill it perfectly that way.

Also @Davidc there are some aftermarket trigger out there:

https://store11778777.yolastore.com/Aluminum-Hi-Point-triggers-p88779393

They don't improve pull or anything, mostly just for looks. The trigger ain't the best, but it does get smoother the more you fire from it.

I would watch some Youtube videos first on breakdown, they will help, after a couple of times you will have it down. There are some tricks for break down. Don't loose that break down tool, you can use it for most of the break down. Once you get inside you will see what I said about the metal, nothing to write home about but again it comes back to "I paid very little for it", but it is known to be quite reliable. She ain't the prettiest but she just works.

Good info sir. Thank you kindly. I'm tempted to get that 28 round drum for it.

Clip on the butt would be a nice accessory.

I did a small mod to mine which turned out awesome, You know the writing on the side? My wife has some fingernail polish that perfectly matched in her collection. I filled all the writing in with it let dry for over a half hour then use a non-acetone fingernail polish remover and used  cloth and wiped the dried excess off. You want the cloth to remain flat when rubbing. It brings out the wording quite nice. I will have to take a better pic of it, but here is a quick picture off my phone when I was putting on my scope, you can also see the charging handle here as well as the cheek pad.
