Bitcoins and Cryptocurrencies

I see that bitcoin prices have been dropping quite a bit. It makes me wonder if it goes low enough that will prompt a buying craze again? This stuff is still relatively new and many people still want to make big money. Though, I still think cryptocurrency at it's root is a bad idea.

I can't help thinking about this as well. I don't think it's the last that we have seen of it. The thing I can't help thinking about is this massive place that they are building about an hour away from us and providing tons of jobs based off this. I keep thinking to myself "Do they know something that I don't"?

I think people have or had too much invested and will keep doing what it takes to make cryptos big. The further we advance in technology (and darn socialism :sneaky: ), it's just a matter of time before we go full crypto. Universal healthcare = control, taxes = control,... universal money = CONTROL. Governments like that kind of stuff I heard.

Ohio has become the first state to allow people to pay taxes with a cryptocurrency: businesses in the area who want to pay their taxes using Bitcoin can do just that starting Monday by registering at OhioCrypto.com. The idea was championed by Ohio treasurer Josh Mandel as a means of giving the state a "tech-friendly image."

Paying for governmental mismanagement and insufficiency fees with laundered pyramid gambling fake money?

I have been seeing people on local Facebook groups trying to sell their mining machines lately.

Maybe time to upgrade my 7 year old medium tier video card. Maybe that's why my minesweeper times are being held back.

Seems like someone pulled an easy card to defraud all the "investors". This is what happens when there is not many clear rules, regulations, or standards in place. As much as some regulations can be corrupt, at least with regulated investments, there are certain rules in place that wouldn't just pull something like to happen.
Ya I thought this was somewhat fishy myself. I'm not saying the guy did not die, but I am sure someone has the password somewhere. Unless it was a 'one man show' running the entire operation behind the scenes. That's like having a large business with only one key to the front door, I am sure someone else has a key. But who knows?
