Cows

Has anyone else ever noticed how much we are like cows? I say this to my wife all the time. We are like a bunch of cows that herd together when we goto the mall or like when we go out to eat. I mean how wierd is it to goto a place to eat and sit around with a bunch of people you don't know? It's just like a farmer tossing out hay and all the cattle herding together to eat. Just seem funny to think about.

one could say that about a lot of animals however...like pigs, sheep, you name it. However, cows are stubborn mofo's like humans can be. Sometimes you have to lay the whip to them hawww nowwww.

I eat products made from cows... daily. On a more serious note, I would say that the human tendency to gather in groups and be comfortable in such situations is more of a basic instinct which is shared by any mammal that presently comes to mind. What seperates us from most others is our advanced thought capacity, which isn't always good, you don't see too many cows shooting each other or one breed enslaving another... At any rate I think all creatures share the most basic of instincts.

Also, a slight segway, but I know I've read quite a few Sci-Fi books in which it's discovered that the entire human species was in fact at one time a single organism, each persons thoughts were the thoughts of all and such, but then there some burden causes us to build barriers in our mind to block out the other parts of ourself and thus we arrive as we are today. Far fetched... yeah... but there is far more potential for our minds, so who knows if it isn't possible...

I notice this alot when I go to certain events at like the fargodome or alerus center. When everybody leave and you are being funneled through a few small doors, you almost feel like you are being lead to the slaughter house as the crowd just pushes you along.

Our Holsteins used to enslave the herefords. Especially the Holstein bull, he dominated the Hereford males.

From what I've seen of the bovine species, they certainly seem to have human-like traits. Take for example urban renewal where a local government refurbishes the projects. Cows, like their counterparts, will have their facility trashed in just a few short years.
