Is it right? Monitoring calls, personal voice mail, email, keystrokes, etc. It's on their dime but, at what point does it violate civil rights?

My view...  "Don't hire employees you can't trust." If you can't trust the people you hire, don't hire them at all.

Companies try more and more to have their employees work as near %100 on company work as they can. I understand this for the most part but the end result is invasion of privacy. Monitor stuff that should not be looked at at work like porn*cough* but don't start monitoring chat logs and personal information.
