Ok so I had a dream about this last night and thought it would make a great book. Basically it involves and couple of hackers that go to Vegas for the weekend, end up stealing 2.5 million and have to spend in within 2 days before flying back. While in the meantime they are being chased by police and casino security. What do you think?

It would make a better movie I think.
It's good isn't it? It was what my dream was about. They guys are kinda having fun, but at the same time they are trying to keep one step ahead of the law. It's got sex, comedy and action.

...What exactly did you do while you were in Vegas?? j/k

I do like the story idea! It has a unique and potentially interesting premise. Expand on why they have to spend the money within 2 days and you've got a story.

You need a protagonist, which most likely would not be part of the criminals, if so would need a good reason to steal the money, and you have the antagonist. Throughout the story, there are constant cycles of goals and struggles along the way and all the fun story elements that keep the reader interested. Remember, every part of the story has to have a reason that leads to the next part.

Ya i don't know why I dreamt it, but when I woke up I thought dam this would be a great movie or book. The reason the have to spend it is they are flying out and you can't be carrying that much money, so it has to be blown within those days so they can get out of Vegas and have no ties to it. This is what I dreamt anyways.

My new book would be about a team on the space station. While they are in space, the world below goes into nuclear war. No man is left alive on the Earth. The last of humankind resides on this small singular space station. The story details what comes next for the small crew and how they cope with the loss of everyone they knew, EVERYTHING that they knew. They must decide on what do do next about their supplies, and about trying to make mankind live on.

I love it. Oceans 11 meets Brewsters Millions. I vote Matt Damon and Eva Greene for the starring roles. With Tommy Lee Jones as the supporting head of casino security.

Yes there is, just one though. Strange part is her name happens to be EVE. Just a coincidence? Basically as the story progress, the men fight over her.

The Cleansing of America

I would like to write a book on how we have become such a sanitized nation that we are putting our country at risk for a major viral outbreak. Even kids at school are required to bring their own hand sanitizers to school with them. They are destroying their bodies own natural bacterias that prevent this. It makes you wonder if it is a marketing ploy by pharmaceutical companies to put fear in you to only get you sick in the long run to buy their medications?

The Snowstorm

This book is about a guy driving home late from work though a snowstorm. His normal commute home takes on a whole new meaning when he arrives at his destination. As he drives home in the blizzard he just keeps wishing and praying to make it home for dinner that night. What seems like a little longer than normal trip home gets real weird when he pulls into the turn off to his hometown he starts to notice smalls changes in the town. Full grown trees in places he hadn't noticed before. Vehicle styles that he had never seen before. He just tells himself it just must be from the stress of driving though the snowstorm. He drives down the street and parks his vehicle in the driveway and walks up to the door. Puts his key in the door and turns the knob. Strange it won't open? Tries again nothing. Rings the door bell thinking to himself that there must be something wrong with his key and his wife will just let him in. The woman's face that answers the door is not of his wife though. "May I help you?" she says. He's says "What are you doing in my house and where is my wife?" She replies "Your house? This is our house" He husband comes to the door asking what is wrong. The man replies "What are you doing in my house and where is my wife!" He starts to panic. The husband looks over the mans should and say "Wow nice ride I haven't seen an antique like that in that good of shape in sometime". A the same time the wife explains to the guy that they had been living there for the last 36 years and how thy bought it from another younger couple before after they had to put their mother in a nursing home. The man grabs the woman by the shoulders and yells "What was her name? Her name!" The women backs away from the crazed man and say I think it was "Margret". The man just stops and drops to his knees in the wet snow. He then looks up and the couple and asks what year this is. The tell him it's the 90's of course. That it when it hits the man that though his travel home from work in the snowstorm somehow he had transcended space and time. He rushes back to his car and speeds off in the blizzard night, taillights slowly fading. The husband looks at the wife and says "What was that all about?" That is when the wife notices the mans newspapers he was carrying under his arm when he walked up the door. She picks it up, brushes the wet snow off and notices the headline. Dwight D. Eisenhower elected president. That's when the both just stare at each other no words being spoken and stare out into the blizzard where the red tail lights of the Edsel were no longer to be seen.

I used to keep a pocket sized notebook of book ideas. I've downloaded Scribner and started a few notes etc. Last November I signed up for nanowrimo but got sick and lost "moto".

I think that is a neat idea....you wormhole-thru-blizzard . It is funny, today I was talking about driving through blizzards...driving so slow you might feel like you be crashed into.

I should write a paragraph or two

Ya now you know where I got my idea from. You know when you are driving and the snow blows at you even with low beams on and it looks like you are driving through warp speed? Then your mind messes with you and it feel like you are going slow even though you look down at your speedometer and you are going normal? Ya that's where I got the idea from. The whole story I just kinda summed up real fast. But it could be made in to a small novel with a twist ending. Kinda like a mini Twilight Zone.

Book Idea:

Privacy in the Post-Singularity Era

Preface:

Did the Internet accelerate the Singularity or did it reduce the relevance of personal privacy in a constantly connected global environment?
This maybe more of a thought exercise than a book that I'll right write

Book Idea:

Working title: Do they know I know?

Synopsis:

A child in a school hyper sterilized learning environment where students are taught strictly by memorizing facts; the teacher speaks and the students regurgitate. Students that exhibit free thought are "replaced."

Twist:

"Replaced" by clones. Everyone looks the same, any variance in height is marginal. When the student starts to question an idea, they are sent away to an isolated area and are asked new questions to determine there level of free thinking. Matters related to innocent imagination like unicorns or addressed with "retraining" and the student are eventually brought back to the class. Situations where students question authority, they are removed.

Notes: Its intended to be dark and dramatic. I had about three paragraphs of notes written down, but misplaced them; but that is the basic jist.
My first foray into fan fiction. Do you remember the Marvel: What if? Books?

What if:

Captain America: Falconeer

Captain America lost his partner Samuel Wilson long ago. S.H.I.E.L.D has deployed drones for a long time. They have also developed mind mapping technology. Recently they have combined the two. S.H.I.E.L.D has uploaded Samuel into a drone and are going to present it to Captain America. First, they have to convince Captain America he needs a drone to control, second...

He has to recover the lost protoype; Sam Wilson recently been revived from the dead and implanted in a mechanical falcon has flown the coop.

The other day at break, I spoke with a coworker about current events. We got onto gun control. He is...if I am being nice, an advocate. That is OK. Yet, shortly after, he starts spouting anecdotes about gun violence "perpetrated" by children under ten. What you say? Yes, that was his assertion. Additionally, they are innocent, because who didn't play cops and robbers? WTF? I played cops & robbers, Cowboys and Indians, but my assertion is that violence is learned behavior. This other guy wants to use kids as scapegoats. What in the world?

So... What does that have to do with book ideas? More of a screenplay here, but I'd like to see these scenarios play out in a movie/tv series. Example: 30 something dad shows 10 year old how to properly use a firearm for hunting while having flashbacks to his youth and his tour overseas as an infantry man. Interwoven is an alternate reality/counter argument of an indistinguishable man showing his child to protect himself, with another plot were an unattended youth (parents too busy to pay attention) finds a gun, had a shows his friends. ( this was another argument of my coworker that suggested any youth that brought a gun to school that it was jus ok show and tell). I think there is a modern day narrative that is relevant to current events and I'd like others to know that this is the crazy being passed around. Cops and robbers and show and tell? Really??? WTF

See tv would never allow it to happen this day and age. Anything showing "positive" towards guns is looked down upon this day and age. This world is so backwards its not even funny.

Ok new book idea called "Inner Earth"

This story is about how we have been lied to all along. We are the ones actually living in the center of the Earth. Once you get high enough in the sky there is a shell. What lies on top is the actually true Earth. We all just see the blue sky and clouds but there is no space beyond.
