Best driving game?

What do you think is/was the best driving game out there? i would say Need For Speed 2 was the best ever. Nothing like open road driving.

Sorry but I have to disagree. Gran Turismo offers some awesome racing, awesome cars, great customization, and an all around plethora of options. Forza is another top tier game as well. Both are my 2 favorite games in the racing genre.

They need to come out with a new driving game again that lets you drive on regular roads, like mountain passes etc.
