Amazon and shipping

Must really depend on the region. Amazon has been on their game here. Next day at the latest almost without exception. Just got another order delivered 5 minutes ago from yesterday purchase.

Nah, my brother above gets it. The way it is, always.

Wait, you guys get deliveries from Amazon shorter than 2 weeks?

I have read online now that Amazon has now removed their guaranteed 2-day shipping. It is now just when it comes, there is no longer a guarantee. What is the point of Prime anymore then? The video portion?

I canceled my subscription, my orders now are arriving in the same speed as they were with prime the past two years. The video part is their only other main benefit, but very selective and never seems to have good selections. I'm also not someone who likes to watch random series or movies.

And Amazon even increased the rate for Prime. I would think many would start canceling the service. However, bigger cities still might have good delivery times.

Ya, I think big cities do. If I am lucky, I will get things in 3 days, sometimes longer.

I feel like Amazon within the last year has gone downhill. You used to be able to chat with an associate easily, or talk to someone live. But not anymore. I am sure it will all be Ai customer service soon.

Amazon lately has gotten faster shipping here. I think it has something to do with closer warehouses being built. The dumb part is it arrives an hour away and then takes two days before it gets delivered. It takes a full day to bring it down after receiving it, and then another day to deliver.

They are really rocking here. We had a same day delivery the other day. Crazy.

I don't know what happened with Amazon after the holidays, but their shipping went from about 3 days to about a week and a half again on all Prime shipping for our area. Anyways else noticed longer shipping times?

Prime video with ads. :ROFLMAO:
No, I am serious, I mean isn't shipping free over $25 still? I am going to do some research today, on what really are the benefits of Prime without fast shipping. I love how they silently did this. The old Walmart trick of thinking they always have the lowest prices. Hook, line, and sinker, right?

Let us know what you find. I haven't heard about that.

Seriously, I ordered 6 things on Monday, they have yet to even ship.

I am seriously about to give up on Amazon. I have been a member since 1999 I believe as well. I ordered something on the 8th, which was supposed to come tomorrow. Now I just got an email saying it won't come until the 23rd. 15 days to get something. I am also an impulse buyer, when I want something, I want it now. When Amazon used to be able to get it to me in 3 days, I would just randomly order stuff. Now that everything should take at least 10 days delivery time for everything I order, it is making me not order anything at all.

We ordered a few things yesterday (Monday) and it says they will be here Thursday. One of the items was originally scheduled for Sunday but they bumped it up to Thursday.

I got on with chat yesterday and spoke to a person to complain about this. She tried to walk around it then admitted that it's no longer 2 days shipping its according to her "When they get around to packaging it to ship out which can take up to 5 days before shipping". So, I asked her why I am paying $130 a year for Prime then. She told me about a free trial of Amazon music and Prime. I told her I have Netflix and Spotify. She apologized and offered me a one-time credit for a free month of Prime. She asked if this would satisfy me and I ended chat with her.

I also started talking to my co-workers somehow about this and they were all like what's with the week to ship now on Amazon. I told me what the chat told me yesterday.

Here is my take. They don't have enough employees anymore because they are laying them off/switching to robots. Robots can't process as fast as a human - yet.

I don't think they've laid off hardly anyone in comparison to all they hired during covid. The amount they have laid off would be a drop in the bucket to total employees. So far anyways.
