I've done that.  You are trying to trick me sir.

The first year we were together, around Christmas time, she said she wanted a new vacuum cleaner.  So she got one.  Now, she doesn't remember saying she wanted one.

I ended up getting her some of the lock & lock storage containers.  We threw out the old mis-matched stuff.

I started setting some cash aside in small amounts that she shouldn't notice for next years gift.
