Yesterday I opened up and played Kinect Sports Season 2 and enjoyed it a lot. I enjoy not having to use a controller sometimes and if done right, it's fun. Like ndboarder said, the games are not tailored toward the hardcore gamers that prefer Halo, Call of Duty, etc. but the games it offers to the target market, it does well.

I watched the video for the new control for Skyrim for the Kinect. Some of the features seem kinda cool, like just saying the spell out loud.

I will say this though, I don't see how adding voice control is really much addition and saying it's a "Kinect" feature when it's something that could have always been implemented with the mic.

True... the biggest piece here is the existing voice recognition brought by the Kinect program that previously the game developers each would've had to develop (collect voice data, program recognition, etc). It's just an easier thing for them now since it is provided as part of the Kinect package that they would've had to do on their own before to support a mic

I agree with you both that its only a certain market. That is understandable. I just hope they keep working on it and "fine tuning" it. I would like to see alot more accuracy come from it. It's not bad but again it would be nice to be right on.
