Anyone else in tech service fields hate the stoneface look some people give you when you try to "simply" explain certain things? It's understandable if it's very techy stuff, but even if you try laymen's terms, they're probably trying too hard to comprehend what you're saying. Some are also so serious even if you light heartely say something or joke around a little to lighten the situation. I don't really have a problem with this and not relating specifically to anything in my new IT job at the hospital, but you have those people.

My favorite:
Me-"Can you power the pc on for me please?"
Lady- "Whoa whoa whoa, don't get all techy on me now."
Yes she was serious.

The IT field is just one of those that can be a pain....most of the time. I guess you just get used to it and deal with it since there is little you can do. I guess just fix their problem and say "Don't break it again!" If they ask what the problem was say "Stuff was broke.".

Just say "don't you EVER do what you did before again!" while pointing your finger at them sternly looking at them. You can pound your fist on the desk or something too for better effect.
