What happened to the muscle car being for men and power loving car guys? Ever since the new camaro and charger have come out I see way more middle aged business type women, old ladies and other women that just don't fit that type of vehicle. In fact, this can be said for many of the nice sports cars and high end vehicles. At least around here that is what I see. Okay, call me shallow minded if you want but high school teenagers should not be driving new 370zs, old grandmas should not be grocery shopping(at gas station to boot) in camaros and white trash looking women should not be hitting the the arbys drive thru in a $45,000 charger. One last point that makes me shake my head is that the majority of these are pussified by being automatic. Way to suck up a perfectly awesome(well I don't think they are so awesome now) line up of cars.
The people I see driving the new Chargers and Camaros....

I saw a lady probably about 65-70 years old driving an orange Challenger RT yesterday and it was just crawling along. I about threw up. As far as the transmission goes, I think a good majority are manual but of course, not the ones being sold to the grannies. The true enthusiasts opt for the manual more often than not I'm sure.

I can also chime in on this. I have seen more old people driving camaros - and i mean really old - than younger people. I mean are grandma and grandpa just walking into a dealer and saying I need a new car and the dealer is like well what do you think of this new camaro? Or is it that they are the only ones that can afford them since they have saved up their money?

It is sad to see such cars in the hands of those who don't really care. I agree to everything thus far especially the manual vs. automatic. I hate to see automatics even offered on the sportiest editions of these beasts. I can see having the manual in the entry levels. For example, the G8 can be purchases with a V6 (still rear wheel drive though) and for this fine, put in manuals. For the editions with the huge V8 it shouldn't even be a factory option
