I am sure there are alot of these threads, but I guess they always come back up around tax season. Ok now first off and please someone correct me if I am wrong, but didn't the whole reason Columbus and other settlers left Britain was to get away from King George and taxes? I mean wasn't the whole tea party and the "British are coming"  thing related to taxes? So tell me why are they worse now than ever? I somehow can't comprehend this. A quarter of my wages goto taxes. I am all about funding stuff but why can't I have a say in where they spend my money? I wish they would use my W-2 idea. I know your congress man is suppose to put a word in for you, but does that ever really happen? They are all paid off anymore by companies wanting you to pass bills to help them. So I ask you where is the "NEW" America that we can all take off to like Columbus did and get out of this place?

No doubt.  I had a decent return, but still it was small change compared to what they took for the year

You forget, both of us were students last year. Good return last year, will be about the same this year.
