What do you use the remote for?  I also picked one of these up, but I have and use media center.  Netflix?    BTW... did you know Amazon has a plug-in for Media Center that allows you to watch your prime stuff in Media Center?

I use my xbox sometimes for Netflix, or I will rent movies from their Zune marketplace thing. It just seems easier to browse with a remote than a control. The new control is way better than my other one. The first generation remote was crap.

The new one is better for the one off apps (netflix, zune, vudu, etc), but it is missing some of the buttons from the original that were nice to have for media center (Live TV, Recordings, etc).  Oh well, I ended up picking up a second harmony remote, so we have one for each of the two TVs most frequently used.

I took the plunge and purchased a Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 rifle.  This is basically the .22 caliber version of the .223 caliber rifle.  It's build well on the same standards as the military version and only half the price of the basic version.  It's also great for shooting on the range and target practice and cheap to shoot.  Each .22 bullet only costs $0.04 compared to the .223 being at the lowest $0.25 in bulk.  I also purchased a Sparc scope with a 50 round drum along with it's 25 round magazine it comes with.  It should be coming in the end of the week.

Nice on Ryanator! That would be a fun one to shoot gophers with. Now you need to stup up to a matching AR.

Yup, I was thinking I would like this first just for the fun of the plinking and shooting things cheaper and it's the same size and feel of the AR and has good accuracy with the only difference being lower caliber and thus a little less accuracy at farther range.  This is an introductory toy, I'll look into the AR 15 in the future.

Just ordered a Saiga 12 gauge semi automatic shotgun B)  I bought separate modification parts to change it into a more tactical shotgun.  It will have a tri-rail forearm, trigger system moves up closer to magazine, and a collapsible recoil reducing stock.  This will require some minor mechanical work.

It comes with a factory 5 round mag, but I bought a 10 round too.  I didn't want the 12 round as it gets too long, but you can get a 12 round and 20 ROUND Drum!  I also bought a enhanced piston, spring and 4 stage gas adjustment plug for smoother operation. I'm maybe thinking of getting a muzzle brake to screw on the end of the barrel (to further reduce recoil) and a fore-grip.

The original is this:
Spoiler

When it's done it will look like this:
Spoiler

Here's a compilation video of examples of it shooting:

Dam ryanator, when you go all out, you go all out. That will be a nice home defense weapon. Guns are a great investment and rarely loose their value. Plus they are a great hobby for alot of men to work on. Now how about you get your brother one now? I don't think that baseball bat hiding under his bed is gonna do him any good when a couple of dude come breaking in.
